Online Parenting Class, Part 2

Subject: Raising Courageous Teens, Part 2

Hello Families & Friends of our Student Ministry

E.E. Cummings said, “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really
are…”

Isn’t that what your goal is as a parent, to have kids that will have the courage to
grow up and become who GOD has created them to be? It starts with us as
parents, teaching our young children and then our tween/teen to
grow in courage.

There are so many things in our world that are robbing our students of Godly
confidence and courage. There is so much worry, fear, and anxiety that the
average tween/teen is struggling with. It is Satan’s weapon to convince them to
not stand up or be courageous. It is why I am so excited to share with you this
month’s Online Parenting Class. This month’s topic is “Raising Courageous Teens.”

What a powerful message and challenge for our month, as we head toward the
end of school. For some of your families it is the pivotal moments as graduation
approaches. There is so much fear of the future, maybe even in you as a parents.

Your children, no matter how young or old they are, need to see Godly courage in
you. One of the most powerful ways to teach courage is by being courageous. It
doesn’t mean you have to go skydiving or wrestle a bear. In simple real-life ways
you can teach your family courage through job changes, moves, and even serious
illnesses. How you deal with those things with courage will teach your children
how to be brave too!
