Missions

Impact the World through life-changing ministries!

Church can happen anywhere.  It happens when we create learning opportunities that transform lives. It happens when we create safe environments where children can play and learn. It happens when we put our beliefs into action and serve the community in order to make it a better place to live.

The Mission Statement of the United Methodist Church is Making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World - to bring people of the community to God through following Jesus Christ. Our Missions and Outreach Ministries are one of the primary steps toward meeting this Mission Statement. Before we can expect to bring people to worship, the Community needs to know that Main Street is alive and well.

At Main Street, we believe that Scripture mandates taking care of the poor and needy. In the gospel of Matthew, Chapter 25, Jesus tells us, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me."

United Methodists seek to improve the quality of life and opportunities for all God’s people. As John Wesley did, we also seek to change conditions that are unjust, alienating and disempowering.

The church engages in ministries to eradicate poverty by partnering with, and empowering, those in need. Some of our ministries we support are listed below:
